It gives me a real buzz to build positive business relationships to support the fulfilment of clients' objectives. I thrive as part of a team with clear business and success criteria, having the opportunity to contribute ideas, experience and knowledge to reach the agreed objective. Developing new skills and refreshing existing ones to maintain peak performance provides the opportunity to explore new ways to solve problems and deliver results. It has been an important part of my development as a Procurement professional to experience what it is like to be a service provider from the sharp end, to understand more fully the motivations from the other side of the coin, what cost reduction means in real terms as well as the chase for business through the quotation process. I now wish to return to the Procurement environment and put this knowledge to positive use alongside purchasing skills and experience gained.
