Specialties: Process Development, Cell culture, Multi-colour flow cytometry, Lymphocyte isolation and culture, and Assay development and validation. I currently work in Cell Process Development as a Principal Scientist leading a team of 5. I have responsibility as project lead for process development projects from initiation through to implementation. I am a state registered Clinical Scientist in Haematology: Blood Transfusion. My pre-registration training has included clinical laboratory test interpretation, quality management systems including validation, GMP, internal auditing and incident management, and developing leaderships skills through training programs and workshops. I have gained considerable experience with the diagnostic service for fetal blood group genotyping by Real Time PCR and have provided technical expertise to service development projects. My post-doctoral research experience includes regenerative medicine, tumour immunology, and molecular biology. I have extensive experience in molecular techniques and cell culture procedures, including culture of lymphocytes. I have extensive experience in developing multi-colour flow cytometry protocols. I am capable of conducting complex research independently and integrating this within a team frame work. My work has been published in peer-review articles detailed in my profile. I have experience of supervising students at BSc, MSc and PhD levels, providing experimental design support and coaching in research techniques. I am a diligent and hard-working individual with a keen eye on attention to detail.
