Problem solving: process begins with listening, gathering data, defining the problem. Then applying logic, analytical skills, experience and creativity to craft a solution. Finally, using written and verbal communication skills to convey the solution, get buy-in and aid implementation. Team building: recruiting talent, developing team members, providing resources and removing roadblocks. Building strong working relationships to empower the team to be productive and resilient. Driving change: sometimes this looks like implementing something brand new (such as social media), sometimes this looks like evolving existing practices (for example, moving from batch-and-blast emails to targeted messages and automated nurture campaigns), and sometimes it looks like incremental change (such as using A/B testing to optimize email copy). Continuous learning: new tools and skills to improve my technical capabilities (most recently, building pages in Sitecore) and general knowledge to improve my ability to lead and communicate (most recently, learning about burnout and a sustainable work pace).
