Mike Zill is Senior Vice President Global Shared Services and Business Processes at Becton Dickinson. In this role, he leads the operations and optimization of BD’s shared service and process activities in support of BD customers, partners, suppliers and associates worldwide. Prior to the acquisition by BD in 2014, Mike was Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at CareFusion. Mike has built and led teams at a number of outstanding firms including Texas Instruments, Motorola, ON Semiconductor, Cisco Systems, ResMed, CareFusion and now Becton Dickinson. Mike has experience in a variety of industries and situations including high-tech, consumer-tech, medical device, M&A, LBO, and IPO. Mike’s international experience includes living and working in Europe with Motorola running a supply chain operation in France and he has extensive experience building delivery centers and operating in Asia. In 2013 and 2014 Mike received the National CIO 100 award for excellence in technology delivery. In 2015 he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from San Diego Magazine - Top Tech Exec San Diego California. At BD, his organization was recognized in December of 2016 by the Shared Service and Outsourcing Network, SSON, as being among the top '20 most admired Shared Service Organizations in the world' using a scientific methodology that collated SSON’s cross-channel proprietary data gathered from its global community of 120,000 members.
