Maurice was born in Kilmacthomas in Co. Waterford and moved to New York in 2005 after finishing a Masters Degree in Electronic Commerce & Business and an Undergraduate Degree in Commerce at University College Cork. Initially he worked for a small start up which built custom CMS/E-Commerce solutions. After gaining hands on experience building these types of web applications he moved onto a technical PM role at Usablenet, a mobile and multi-channel experience tech company. As this company trebled in size over the space of 6 months, he took on a product role where he headed up the development of in-store kiosks for some of the largest retailers in the UK such as Marks & Spencer, Tesco and John Lewis.After 3 years, Maurice used this experience to move onto a Product Manager role for Borderfree, a global expansion partner for retailers. There he worked on the development of a new system to allow Borderfree hub operations to process tens of thousands of parcels each day and reduce the overall cost and time of shipping products to every country in the world.After Borderfree went public in 2014, Maurice moved onto his current role at Tapad, a marketing technology firm renowned for its breakthrough cross-device solutions, to be the Director of Solution Engineering for Tapads media division. Maurice and his team are responsible for supporting Tapad's media and DSP business across the US. He is also part of the Tapad team who have built their latest product offering TV pulse which ties traditional linear television advertisements through traditional broadcast campaigns to digital marketing efforts.Maurice is also one of the founders and current chairman of the Manhattan Gaels, Manhattans first Gaelic football team, which has both mens and ladies team who compete in the New York Senior Football championship and works to promote traditional Irish sports and culture in New York. Maurice was also a board member of IN-NYC for 2 years
