***Spoke on the US Capitol infamous steps on May 6 2014 to tell my story of unemployment and plead with the Republicans to renew EUC HR 4415.*** I am currently working in Local Government managing their Stormwater Department which is a part of the Public Works Department. I am my own boss and I run the entire department on my own. I report directly to the Public Works Director. I have created many partnerships with the City and sit on a few clean water boards. I am the leader of the Education and Outreach committee and a board member of the Watershed Alliance of York (formerly the York County Coalition for Clean Waters). I partnered with the PSU Master Watershed Stewards and the Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper to develop the Street 2 Creek Program here in the City where we have a contest of local artists to create the best storm drain art. The top winners paint their art in the downtown area. I have many more accomplishments but I don't have much room to write. I would like to use my talent I have acquired here and use it to move myself up into the conservation world. My ideal position would be with the PA Department of Environmental Protection - either helping out MS4 Communities with their permit requirements, or continuing my learning in other water conservation efforts. I am studying to take the certification as a National Floodplain Manager and I am embarking on a journey to become a certified Climate Change Analyst. I want doors to be wide open for me where I can choose my best path. I love learning and can't wait to see where I end up next!
