Year Up's mission is to provide urban young adults with the skills, experience, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education.

As a results-driven leader offering over 25 years of successful organizational development, community advocacy through delivering exceptional leadership and influential relationships, I offer valuable expertise in organization management, high-level strategy development, partner relations, process improvements, and functional resource obtainment. I am also exceptionally skilled in communicating with C-level executives, community leaders, and citizens at large to build consensus for the forward movement of various programs and services. During my career, I have accumulated experience in non-profit, public sector and various commercial markets segments. This wide range of exposure into various markets and complex situations has provided me with a comprehensive experience and knowledge when approaching opportunities. In addition, it is my passion and personal commitment to deliver sustainable solutions to organizations, communities and individuals that allow them to control their futures. Throughout my career, I have held such positions as Executive Director, Executive Vice President of Marketing, Operations Director, Associate Partner, Business Development Executive, and Director of Client Solutions, among many others. A few accomplishments from these roles include having:- Structured and closed a $14M bond acquisition to acquire a multi-facility education structure to support over 800 students. (Ivy Preparatory Academy)- Generated in excess of $300K to establish a new health IT jobs and technical lab program for Metro Atlanta. (Georgia Tech EI2 Program)- Developed a $25M Technology support program for HBCU’s that established enhanced student services through the Oracle Promise Foundation. (Oracle)- Assisted over 35 students to obtain new employment with an average medium wage of $48K.
