My big passion is to help entrepreneurs and managers create and grow truly differentiated technology businesses. And to turn these into real success it's not just about having the right technology (that's part of it for sure) but also about being able to think global from day one and address customers with a simple value prop across the globe. I focus on companies in the Sustainable Energy, Semiconductors and deep IP Software and Comms areas. As a VC I have predominantly invested in European companies of which the vast majority (certainly the more successful part) were able to early on think globally and set up a substantial part of their business in the US, benefiting from the worlds biggest early adopter market as well as from the talent and experience there to make if work.
