With 22 office locations throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Panama, the firm specializes in the design of commercial office, corporate, industrial, science & technology, healthcare, retail, auto, public/educational facilities and renovation projects. Ruth is Vice President, Strategic Initiatives for Ware Malcomb, an international design firm, offering architecture, interior design, civil engineering, branding and building measurement services to clients throughout the Americas. Ruth is an excellent strategist, gifted communicator, innovative thinker and inspiring leader. A member of Ware Malcomb's Executive Team since 2004, she provides guidance and coaching to company leaders throughout the firm's 28 offices. Since 1998, Ruth has played a key role in the company's transformation from a regional firm to a global Inc 5000 Fastest Growing Company. Ruth leads Leadership Development, Internal Communications, Knowledge Management, Learning & Development and Strategic Planning. She helped to launch WM's formal DEI program and serves as it's Executive Champion. Some notable accomplishments include launching WM’s leadership onboarding and training/development program, WM's Executive Coaching program, WM Mentoring program, WM 5.0 Continuous Improvement program, and WM Active, the firm’s health & wellness initiative. Ruth is currently serving on the Komen Orange County Leadership Committee. Past industry and community leadership roles include Member of Chief, Board Member for CSUF Women in Leadership program and CREW OC Board Member. An accomplished speaker and writer, Ruth has been a speaker for a variety of industry groups including ULI, OC Diversity Council, CREW, NAIOP and IMA. In 2012, she co-founded Women Leaders Connect, a peer to peer women’s leadership group in Orange County. Recent recognition includes 2021, 2020 OCBJ Women in Business nominee, 2017 Top 50 Most Influential CMO's and Marketing Leaders by Science of Digital Marketing, 2016 IMA Women Leaders Award, and 2015 Women of Influence in Real Estate Forum Magazine. Ruth received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Ecology from University of California, Irvine, and a Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Harvard University Extension. She is a 15-time marathoner and breast cancer survivor and has championed cancer awareness and research fundraising for both Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation and the Susan G. Komen Foundation since 2012.
