Raj Kushwaha is based in New York and serves as chief technology officer for Warburg Pincus, one of the leading global Private Equity firms, responsible for Technology and Operations diligence with prospective investments, as well as ongoing work with Warburg's existing portfolio companies. Raj has over 30 years of experience in leading large scale digital transformations, building commercial grade SaaS software platforms, and managing technology operations in Fortune 500 companies and Entrepreneurial late stage ventures. Raj's work has spanned several industries, including high tech and automotive manufacturing, retail and distribution, financial services, consumer packaged goods, healthcare, and private equity. Prior to joining the Warburg Pincus, Raj was Global CIO and head of Digital Transformation for Zimmer Holdings Inc., a leading global manufacturer of musculoskeletal implants, where he was responsible for both, leading the technology transformation for Zimmer IT, and for driving major digital transformation initiatives across supply chain and Go-to-market for the company. Previously, Mr. Kushwaha was head of the Dell's services product portfolio. At Dell he also led many of the early Services acquisitions for the company. Prior to that Raj was CIO-Transformation for PepsiCo; Managing Director and CTO for First Data Corporation (FDC); Head of Technology for Dell Online; and Head of embedded software businesses and Technology at Cummins Engine Company. Raj holds an Advanced Management Program (AMP) from Harvard University; a M.S. from MIT, an M.B.A. from UW at Madison and ISU; and a B.S. in electrical engineering from India. Raj has been recognized as one of the top 100 IT innovators in the automotive industry, is the recipient of a CIO 100 innovation award, is a noted industry author, and has multiple patents in the field of disruptive services technologies.
