With over 25 years’ experience in senior Compliance, Government Affairs and Operational Risk Management roles, and more recently appointed as Vice President - Operations, Assurance and Data Strategy for the insights business within Mastercard/VocaLink Analytics, providing organisational strategy, developing and implementing effective operations, policies and practices and negotiating data permissions. I am the only person in the UK to have held senior Compliance roles at all three of the UK’s largest Credit Reference Agencies (CRA), Experian, Equifax and Callcredit. I was part of the original team that set up Callcredit as a CRA in the UK. In my 6 years as Head of Compliance UK & I, EMEA and Asia Pac at Experian, I established a series of compliance standards and data sharing schemes building teams to align to Global compliance requirements in a number of countries . Immediately prior to that, I was at HBOS/Lloyds Banking Group for 3 years firstly in Credit Risk were I was responsible for the purchasing of data and systems management of suppliers across the Retail Bank and then in Group Risk: Regulatory Affairs where I was responsible for aligning the banks activities with industry, Trade Association and regulators.
