With nearly 20 years of progressively responsible experience in the field of higher education and strategic communications, I am an experienced and highly motivated professional with superior leadership skills. Currently, I serve as Director of Professional Development at the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in the Office for Undergraduate Students at Villanova University. In this role, I teach leadership and professional development courses, direct internship experiences, collaborate with student organizations, and powerfully position the office through effective strategic communications campaigns. The Office for Undergraduate Students guides and supports students from orientation to graduation as they explore experiential possibilities. We empower students to begin a process of self-discovery, providing them with the resources to forge their own educational and professional direction. Prior to returning to Villanova University, I served as Communications Director at City Year Philadelphia, where I developed and executed comprehensive and integrated social media, Web, public relations, and media strategies to engage and influence a vast audience. I also provided critical expertise and service to City Year’s departments to ensure consistent communications, messaging, visual brand management and strategy, and media planning. Before my role at City Year, I served as the Executive Communications Specialist in the Office of Business and Finance at The Ohio State University, where I communicated clear, concise, and relevant information related to business and finance initiatives to achieve short- and long-term strategic goals for the University.
