I spent the first decade of my life working in and around the music industry before deciding it was time to further my education and attend the University of Newcastle to complete a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) where I realised that this passion for music was equaled by the passion for effective and engaging communications. Over the past few years there have been exciting changes in my career path including developing my own passion project, in partnership with Ryan Williams as Creative Director, Newcastle Mirage is an Art & Culture Zine with a modern twist. It has changed the print landscape in Newcastle and grown a rapid following across digital platforms including Facebook & Instagram. While playing the long game with revenue and seeking partnerships with businesses that truly understand that collaboration is a the future of media. As if that wasn't enough, I've spent significant time working on my marketing and business development skills as a freelance creative, eventually taking this to a new level and branding as Oasis Social Media to complement Mirage. I work with businesses to manage their online identity, develop workflows, train and empower them to take the lead on social media and/or take charge across platforms. So you've read this far?
