I have 25 years experience in investment management. Currently working at VanEck, I bring the varying experiences of a professional investor and business analyst with a broad exposure to differing investment products, asset classes and investor types. I have had varying experiences throughout my career. Starting as a business analyst at Lazard Asset Management, I learned about value investing and the asset management business. This position took me to London, where I lived for almost a year. I decided to become an investor and attained my CFA and an MBA from Columbia Business School. After a short stint as a COO of a now-defunct hedge fund, I analyzed hedge funds at a small family office, as well as marketed a tax-efficient wrapper for hedge fund investing. After the financial crisis, I found my way back to business analysis. I worked for Sindex Financial Systems for almost four years, with the first two and a half years assigned to VanEck. Today, I am responsible for the company’s Portfolio Operations and Fund Administration functions.
