As a researcher and educator at The University of Western Australia, I enjoy a thriving and inspiring community of students and colleagues. My research interests are varied. My thesis examined policy, policy administration, and strategy in tourism, across the national, state, and local government, and policy and strategy practices in regional tourism destinations. I enjoy research and teaching entrepreneurship, innovation, and commercialisation of innovations. I facilitate this learning in the B.Com and B.Bus programs, and in the M.Biotech program. I also teach Management of Small Business (SME), Corporate Innovation, and Project Management. My professional career included accounting and business (ACCA) and with this background, I cultivated an interest in hotels, resorts, and private membership clubs. I fulfilled roles in the development and management with owner-operated companies and international corporate companies. I gained considerable exposure working in cross-cultural settings and held various executive management roles with organisations in European and South-East Asia cities and resort destinations.
