Serving (interim) in the role of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research) for 2022. I have paused my practice as a Medical Oncologist at SCGH over this period. I am enjoying working with colleagues across the University and externally to facilitate excellence in research and research culture. I am excited to understand more about research in disciplines outside of health and to meet and learn from a broad spectrum of researchers, academic and industry leaders, and government agencies. Previously enjoying both academic leadership and cancer research, bringing people together to make more than the sum of the parts. I am an academic Medical Oncologist and translational and clinical trials researcher, with my PhD in tumour immunology facilitating a dialogue between the basic sciences and clinical sciences. As Pro Vice Chancellor Health and Medical Research at UWA, I have had the opportunity to grow our research capacity and connect researchers, enabling UWA health research to make a positive impact on the health of our local and global communities.
