David Parker is the Director of Career Development, Employer Relations, and Alumni Relations at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management - University of California, Santa Barbara. David also serves as one of the Sr. Managers of the School. During his time at the Bren School, David has developed a highly innovative job search approach that has helped thousands of students and professionals land satisfying jobs quickly in both weak and strong job markets. David has more than 25 years of experience in the human resources and career development fields, including experience as an employment manager, career counselor, college recruiter, corporate trainer, and organizational development consultant. David has worked for small, medium, and large organizations, including Fortune 50 companies. His organizational development work includes consulting projects with AT&T, Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS), Coast Savings and Loan, and the Huntington Beach Podiatry Group. David received his BA magna cum laude in Economics from UC Santa Barbara, his MBA from California State University, Long Beach, and his MS in Counseling and Guidance from California Lutheran University. He has specialized training and expertise in interviewing, resume design, sales and marketing, salary negotiations, job search strategies, management, and networking. He also has certifications in behavioral interviewing, human resources development, sales, and total quality management.
