VitalChek Network, Inc.-Who We Are: Established in 1987, VitalChek Network was originally known as Vital Record Permit Check - VRPC., and incorporated in 1993 as VitalChek Network, Incorportated. Our goal is to give people better remote access to government documents by providing the ability to order their personal vital records in a more timely manner, as well as to give trucking operations the ability to order overdimensional permits faster and more efficiently. Both ordering systems were designed around the convenience of credit card usage as the preferred method of payment. Thus, the guaranteed remote transfer of information and funds has become the hallmark of VitalChek Network services, and today it is still the heart and soul of our business operations. Our seven operating divisions are: VitalChek (vital record ordering), Vital Vision (database management for vital record agencies), PermitWizard (over-dimensional permit ordering), WizPay (citation payment services), PaymentWizard (remote payment solutions including IVR), and E-Netwizard (design, development and hosting of government/government association websites and e-commerce), Transcriptwizard (remote ordering of school transcripts).

I am currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at HubSpot in Cambridge. I pivoted into software development by way of the Web Development Immersive program at General Assembly which focused on Javascript, Ruby on Rails, AngularJS, and D3. In my previous work life, I was working as a Financial Advisor for Merrill Lynch in Cambridge, MA. During my 8 year stint with Bank of America/Merrill Lynch I gained both face-to-face experience assisting clients with a large spectrum of financial needs as well as experience working with a small team to deliver on goals. My desire to work with more complex technical problems drove me to make the leap into software development. The career transition was streamlined by the intense WDI course that I completed at General Assembly.
