After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Computer Science Engineering, I moved to Los Angeles to work at a small start-up in Santa Monica doing LAMP development. After 1.5 years of engineering in LA, an opportunity presented itself to become one of the first engineers at thredUP, which resulted in my move to San Francisco in 2010. After roughly 1.5 years of full-stack Rails engineering on thredUP's web team, I became the lead engineer for the team. After 20 months of being the lead, I was promoted to my current position, Director of Shop Engineering, where I oversee our web and mobile engineering efforts.|I am passionate about what I do.
