MSc in Conservation of Historic Buildings from Bath and first class BSc(hons) in building surveying from Glasgow Caledonian. I specialise in traditional construction, defect analysis and the causes of dampness. I also design, make and repair traditional stained glass, in my very limited spare time, and have also designed, made and repaired windows for several hotels. Specialties: I have a wide experience of construction and detailed knowledge of traditional construction and materials having attended training as diverse as the Scottish Lime Centre Trust in Fife and Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings in London. I have acted as client, contract administrator, clients representative and funder and have a good knowledge of their respective roles in contract.
