Co Founder
Australia's leading higher education and research University.
I believe that universities play a critical role in facilitating the implementation of the the SDG’s. I am particularly passionate about poverty alleviation and gender equality and I have attempted to translate this passion into challenging future business leaders to rethink the relationship between poverty alleviation and profitability through a unique subject in Australian business curriculum, engaging in research on topics such as creating shared value and women’s empowerment in the context of microfinance. As a business academic, I think that it is important to shape new ideas that challenge the Business as Usual Approach. Therefore, I proactively advocate the importance of the SDG’s in the wider community. I have been privileged to be invited as a speaker at the 2016 Australian Inclusive Business Forum, the 2014 World Investment Forum in UN Geneva and the 2016 roundtable organized by Unilever Australia relating to implementing the SDG’s. In 2016, I was also invited to take part in the UN Global Compact Leader’s Summit at the UN, New York. I am involved in organizing events that champion Business not as Usual Approach, including the business implementation of the SDG’s such as the 2015 and 2016 Australian Social Good Summit and the 2017 RDI Network Conference. I am keen to learn from diverse perspectives on how best to engage with the SDGs
