- Breadth of IT leadership experience spanning application development, provision of infrastructure services, and delivery of large IT projects. - 20 years IT Programme Delivery experience in Financial Services, primarily through a career at Swinton Insurance - advancing through the organisation taking on new challenges with an appetite to drive forward technology change linked to business improvements. - Led IT delivery teams during Swinton’s business and technology transformation programme: overhauling Digital capabilities; introducing customer centricity across distribution channels; and leveraging in-house and 3rd party data enrichment services. - Strong focus on both delivery of the IT solution and realisation of the commercial outcome. - Led teams of 200+ FTE with budgets of £18m / supporting 4,500 users across 450+ sites. - End-to-end experience in requirements analysis, options evaluation, solution design, vendor selection, packaged and bespoke software delivery, integration, testing, training, and handover to business as usual support Summary of IT Solutions Delivered: - CDL insurance broking system - Robotic Process Automation (Blue Prism) - Real-time pricing engine with supporting data analytics - In-house written CRM + insurance quote and buy application - eCommerce site and supporting infrastructure - Hot standby datacentre implementation - High availability web and database services (Microsoft stack) - Migration to virtualised datacentre (VMWare) - Consolidated storage (NetApp) - Citrix and thin client technology across branch network - MPLS network with migration to VoIP - Predictive outbound dialler
