Eric is passionate about helping organizations strengthen operational and financial performance. He enjoys aligning the senior leadership team in building a culture of continuous improvement, driving innovation within the organization, advancing business growth strategies, empowering the management team and employees, building highly effective teams, and inspiring leadership development. Prior to starting DeBonis Consulting, LLC in 2022, Eric completed a 29-year career of increasing responsibility and accountability with Southwest Gas Corporation. Eric has extensive experience in division and corporate engineering, gas control operations, measurement and control, distribution and transmission construction, regulatory compliance, integrity management, emergency response, division operations, call center operations, construction contracting, and capital construction plan development and execution. He led numerous process and technology transformation projects including centralizing dispatch operations, establishing a construction quality analytics program, and replacing the legacy customer information system. Eric served as Senior Vice President/Operations for 10 years, consistently improving safety, operational, and financial results. Prior to Southwest Gas, Eric held various positions in marketing and operations with Public Service Company of New Mexico. Eric earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. He also completed the Advanced Executive Program at Northwestern University. Eric is a registered professional engineer in Arizona, California and Nevada.
