My career in the senior living industry began in 2010 as a Sales and Marketing Director for BPM Senior Living, which was sold to Holiday Retirement. Remaining with the new management I became an area sales leader until 2013 when I transferred and moved from Oregon to California. One of the most important tools l continue to value is; when talking to seniors and their families it's important to listen 80% of the time and talk 20%. Learning what is important to the person I am talking with helps me to understand their needs and how I can assist them. 2/2013 - 8/2016 Vintage Senior Living - Business Development Director for Sonoma and Santa Rosa communities. Responsibility: •Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources. •Build a network of trusted advisors within the senior industry. Attend functions, events and conferences to promote visibility for developing new business. •Join local organizations and represent the company within the local marketplace to promote services for seniors. •Work in partnership with my Management Team to develop outreach for Sales and Occupancy objectives. •Communicate effectively with residents, families, and business organizations. •Create and execute resident programing- intergeneration music between local youth and elders at senior community. The Alive Inside-Adopt an Elder Intergenerational Program. •Event planning that builds community relationships. Benefit for Vintage House L.I.M.O, a free transportation program.
