Steve most recently served as Vice President and Controller for Capella Healthcare, Inc. (Capella) in Franklin, Tennessee. Capella, an investor-owned hospital company with annual net revenue in excess of $800 million, consists of twelve hospitals and associated physician practices and other ancillary outpatient businesses. With extensive healthcare experience in accounting, finance, SEC reporting and audit, he has also held executive or accounting positions at Province Healthcare Company, Lifepoint Hospitals, Inc., Netcare Health Systems, Inc. and Ernst & Young LLP. During his career, Steve has been instrumental in the start up of two hospital companies (Capella and Netcare Health Systems) including the development of the accounting function and the internal control structure. Steve has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Austin Peay State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive). Steve is an active member of the Ernst & Young Alumni Council for the firm's Nashville, Tennessee practice.
