I lead Emerging Markets Policy within Global Policy & Standards at Google, and am based at the APAC HQ in Singapore where I have also led global product policy within the regional Trust & Safety team. I have more than a decade of post-qualified experience in the legal sector, and prior to Google have specialized and practised in international law & dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and government affairs. I have represented sovereigns, multi-nationals and other clients on a range of complex commercial disputes, including commercial arbitration, data protection, and commercial crime. Formerly a Member of Parliament in Singapore, Of Counsel at a law firm and faculty member at the Singapore Management University's School of Law , I completed my Master’s at Stanford Law School on a Fulbright Scholarship, and a Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center Academic Fellow.
