Brett is a traffic and transport engineer with over 25 years experince. He is a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) and is one of the leaders of the traffic and transport team within SLR Consulting. Brett began his career with the specialist engineering firm Eppell Consulting in 1989 and developed into a leadership and ownership role within that firm (subsequently Eppell Olsen & Partners) before its merger with Cardno in 2005. He has previously managed the business operations for traffic and transport teams in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney and Perth. Brett is now one of the leaders of the traffic and transport team at SLR Consulting. Over the course of his professional experience, Brett has been involved in the full range traffic and transport services including traffic modelling, systems planning,traffic signals design, road safety assessments, local area traffic management, traffic operations and development planning/assessment. Brett specialises in the traffic engineering area of the practice. Brett has developed the road safety audit team within Cardno and is an accredited Senior Road Safety Auditor and participated on secondment in the taskforce formed to develop Queensland's Railway Level Crossing Safety Guidelines. Brett has prepared numerous reports and presented evidence for appeals to the Planning and Environment court. His experience over the industry makes him an asset to master planning for development projects. Brett has been extensively involved in road and traffic impact assessments as part of the Environmental Impact Statement for major quarries and for state significant resource projects.
