Rick Bailer joined Sirius as Vice President of Sales for the East and Central regions of Sirius Enterprise Systems Group (SESG) in June 2004 when the company acquired Denver Solutions Group (DSG). In July of 2005 he assumed sales and profit responsibility for all of SESG. Mr. Bailer was a key player in the integration of the Sirius Enterprise Systems Group into Sirius. He met this challenge with a strong ability to lead and communicate with account executives, system engineers, the Operations team, and most importantly clients. Mr. Bailer had joined DSG in November 2000 as Vice President of Sales, responsible for the Central and Eastern divisions.While at DSG, Mr. Bailer was a member of IBM’s zSeries Advisory Council and worked closely with IBM to create the Opportunity Development Program, which is the basis for the Certification programs that now exist for all major IBM brands. In January 2007, SESG was merged fully into Sirius, at which time Mr. Bailer assumed joint responsibility for the combined East Region. Mr. Bailer also retained nationwide Brand responsibility for System z, Printers and Federal. In 2008 and 2009, Mr. Bailer focused on his Brand responsibilities for System z including hardware, software and services. In June 2010, he assumed responsibility for Distributed Software and Services. Today, as a Senior Executive for Sirius, Mr. Bailer has Brand responsibility for two key areas – System z hardware, software and services along with software solutions and services.
