Mark is an IT Director with 30+ years of international IT, operational and management experience obtained in e-commerce, retail, industrial and fin-tec based companies, as well as integration organisations and consultancies; across multiple sectors and regulated industries, including heavy engineering and aerospace. Combining international business / IT strategic and daily IT operations; Security, Program & Portfolio Management (PPM); business transformation; BC / DR and organisational change & design; Mark manages and develops continuous integration / agile technology organizations to improve overall IT delivery. He specialises in formulating and implementing IT strategy, service / operations, as well as complex dynamic transformation programs in mixed model deliveries. Where appropriate and practical, he applies various approaches, standards, or frameworks, such as TOGAF, BPM, ITSM / ITIL, COBIT, ISO 20000 & 27000. He typically redesigns, integrates, and consolidates disparate technologies to form common new platform / service suites as well as introduce automated data driven capabilities such as AIOps / Intelligent (hyper) Automation (IA). This is facilitated through ‘business as usual’ IT tech op’s management to ‘keep the lights on’ and ‘keep the organization safe’; while undertaking business transformation. Typically, this involves deep knowledge of organisational improvement, business / IT daily service / AI / operations, Security, C/PMO, outsourcing, architecture, and people CM; in particular, enterprise transformation, IT portfolio management and service efficacy (ITSM). Skills may be summarised as: • Leading and implementing daily / strategic IT, Security, op’s / service support, IA, AIOps • Business / IT transformation strategy formation, planning, communication, implementation; to create digital, Product Squad, Employee Experience / Corporate IT environments • International direct and virtual IT PPM mixed model (devops, waterfall etc) team management involving partners, vendors and customer organisations; C/PMO and portfolio implementation to deliver “X” aaS, cloud solutions, in / out sourced and product design / development • Vendor and partner engagement, facilitation, negotiation and relationship management • Strategic and operational change governance, including benefits management & intervention • Security strategy development, deployment and regulatory compliance management • Formation and management of CI/CD • Business / IT efficacy, governance, architecture, operations and whole lifecycle cost & design.
