I have worked for more than a decade in digital media, with a career spanning from writing to editing to podcasts to building and growing content-based subscription products. I launched Shortman Studios - a podcast production and editing company - in July 2020. I co-host two podcasts in addition to providing editing and production services. I previously worked for Seeking Alpha, the premier stock-market focused website, as a Director of our Marketplace. I was most recently focused on Seeking Alpha Marketplace, our platform for exclusive, premium subscriptions run by some of our best authors on the site, and have led the platform's growth since 2017. I also developed and oversee our podcast programming, including co-hosting Behind the Idea and The Razor's Edge. Additionally, I am interested in the fields of international relations, conflict resolution, public affairs, journalism, business, finance, literature, music, travel, and writing. Specialties: Editorial - Experience working for a variety of websites on editorial selection, product/content design, content acquisition, content/marketing strategy, podcast development and production, and editorial design. Equity analysis - Strong understanding of equity markets, able to recognize high-quality equity analysis, able to do detailed equity analysis. Languages - Native speaker of English, fluent in Russian, French, Spanish, and Bulgarian, proficient in Hebrew, basic knowledge of Italian. Have done both text translation and live simultaneous translation in Russian. Writing - Professional writer, capable of writing in a number of formats. Travel - Have lived abroad for more than a decade, experience living in five countries, very comfortable traveling and adapting to new settings.
