I am a dedicated, hard working and conscientious individual with vast experience in Immigration Law and Practice as well as Caseworker management and Compliance. I possess excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills which have enabled me to enjoy considerable success throughout my career to date. I am proactive and like to use my own initiative while being equally happy managing staff or working as a key member of a busy team. Confident in my own ability I thrive in pressurised situations and am adept at planning and prioritising workloads to reach set objectives and meet tight deadlines. I am always keen to to progress my career in a suitably challenging role where I will be able to fully utilise the 14 plus years experience gained as a lawyer in the field of Immigration, Asylum and Human rights alongside the time I have spent as a Chair Justice of the Peace making judicial decisions in criminal Magistrate’s Court's. As a Justice I evaluate evidence fairly and provide reasoned judgments. I am as such able to make objective, decisive and sound judgments, but also to have difficult and often uncomfortable conversions with people who often present as difficult and challenging personality types. I also currently participate in a judicial working group, drafting consultation documents on judicial sentencing and other guidelines before implementation. By being a regulator of the drafts in this way, I help the group to achieve its aims which is the main to ensure that appropriate factors are taken into account when sentencing and that the impact on the victims of crime is appropriately considered and reflected. I am also an appraiser of justices across benches in London. Assessing Justices of all levels and experience in respect of the competence.
