As the President and CEO, I work to combine scientific, medical, and business expertise to effectively lead all stages of drug development. A pioneer of a new field of medicine, Sangamo is a clinical-stage company with an ambitious goal: not just manage, but cure serious diseases. To do this, we’re translating our ground-breaking science into genomic medicines that transform patients’ lives. Sangamo’s legacy of firsts gives us more in vivo clinical trial experience, more mature and precise technology and more lessons learned than other companies in the field. Our core capabilities and cross-platform technologies allow us to target treatments wherever the cause lies on the genome, using whichever technique is best suited to deliver that treatment: gene therapy, cell therapy, genome editing or genome regulation. These four distinct, but complementary technology platforms comprise our genomic medicine clinical program and IND machine.
