Desmond is a problem solver with a keen interest in helping small businesses grow. A former management consultant and investment professional, he has worked with early stage and middle market companies in the United States and in China in creating sustainable business plans, securing private equity financing, building world class products and achieving strategic outcomes. Outside of work, he is an economics policy wonk who enjoys deep dives into the world of politics, constitutional law, history and U.S. China relations. Desmond believes strongly in community service and mentoring and is active in the University of Arizona and The Johns Hopkins University alumni networks. He remains active with The Delta Sigma Phi National Fraternity and serves as a career mentor and scholarship selection judge.
