Saama serves these clients from its offices in US, Europe and India.

When founding Saama Technologies in 1997, I applied my lifelong passion for mathematics to answer complex, yet key business questions that other business intelligence solutions could not. With a vision to help organizations discover value and insights from disparate data streams in their ecosystem, and well before the term “big data” became ubiquitous, we sharpened Saama to become a premier pure-play data science and advanced analytics firm with a desirable list of customers. Today, we have an extensive history of providing data scientist led solutions and services in the big data and business analytics market for top enterprise companies. With an electrical engineer and then a software developer background, I have an entrepreneurial spirit, but understand the needs of large enterprise organizations to turn raw data into actionable insights. Using best-of-breed emerging technologies, our team has created analytics solutions and services offerings to identify the micro needles in today’s enterprise’s digital haystack. This innovative approach provides customers with an enabled intuition to make timely decisions. Saama’s approach involves data scientists to leverage the customers’ existing data infrastructure, and to deliver unique value on top of those investments for enhanced business insights and data-driven decisions. An experienced executive, my first start up success was as co-founder of GVI, a developer of groupware application XTeleScreen, which was sold to Netscape Communications. I also co-founded Multisoft, which marketed and distributed high-end graphics products for the Indian market. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with the IT community and am asked to contribute as a discussion panel member and featured speaker at industry conferences. I am a U.S. patent holder on data visualization methods.
