Saama Technologies is one of the largest pure-play business analytics services company in the industry. Based in Campbell, CA, Saama has over 15 years of history in implementing business analytics, big data, predictive analytics and data management solutions for global clients in industries such as Life Sciences, Healthcare, Insurance, Financial Services, High Technology, Media and Public sector. Saama serves these clients from its offices in US, Europe and India.

I presently enjoy my work as Chief Strategy Officer for Saama Technologies Inc. at Campbell, CA. Over the past three decades, technological innovations had a dramatic impact in raising the quality of life. These innovations however are expanding the digital universe that we live in with variety of data at unprecedented velocity. This new normal of Big Data is threatening to submerge businesses and consumers with digital dust. A simple quest to identify signals that matter is becoming beyond the reach of businesses and consumers alike. This need of the hour to aid human productivity for fact based enabled intuition under the new normal of data overload has been the singular motivation for Saama to innovate. I am excited to be leading this strategy. My passion is to create data & analytics driven solutions to generate business outcomes. I am humbled to receive the Chief Strategy Officer of the Year - 2013 award from Innovation Enterprise for some of the work we are doing at Saama. Prior to Saama, I founded and ran a BI company, InfoSTEP Inc. as CEO for 11 years till its acquisition by Saama in 2010. Architecting solutions for CIOs to manage the business value of IT; for Risk Officers to manage business risks from an analytical perspective were few of the key accomplishments that made a mark. The highlight of this phase of the career was selling part of the company and leading the effort to list on Bombay Stock Exchange in 2007. Being on the board of the public company and managing investor expectations quarterly, has taught many a things that my formal education did not prepare me for. During this period, I also served on the Board of Silicon Valley Chapter’s ISACA. My formative years after post graduating from IIT Kanpur, India were spent at CMC Ltd. I worked with other pioneers in font generation & transliteration systems and presented the work at international forums. Having a font named after me in recognition was a thrilling experience.
