Born in 1965 in Ghent, Belgium. I grew up in a family counting 10 heads. I have always been working, since finishing my studies "analytical industrial chemistry", in the field of chemistry: amongst XRF also experience with ICP-OES, AAS, wet chemical techniques and others. After 7 years working in an industrial environment I applied for a job as XRF application scientist at PANalytical. The beginning of a career in the XRF business, which lasts until today. Strong social and language skills. Married to a brasilian lady and having one 9-year old (2004) daughter.
