I really enjoy making machines do my work. I love the ease of pressing a button, or integrating a commit hook to push all of my hard work out for the world to see. I appreciate good testing that allows me to make code changes with the confidence to release them immediately. And I worship simplicity, because it allows everyone on the team to internalize (sometimes disparate) parts of our infrastructure for responding to issues when they arise. When off the clock, I prefer to work on and ride motorcycles. It gives me an excellent reason to maintain a semblance of physical fitness. And allows me to unwind parts of my brain and exercise others.
