I have practiced law since 1978, concentrating in the creditors' rights, commercial law and corporate areas. I have represented lenders, debtors, creditors' committees, trustees and receivers in state and federal proceedings around the United States. I have experience in a wide spectrum of industries including manufacturing, transportation and financial services. I have significant experience in distress mergers and acquisitions, both inside and outside of formal insolvency proceedings. In 2007, I led a team, including a bankruptcy judge and a financial consultant, to Prague to instruct the judges of the Czech Republic on the newly enacted bankruptcy statute I have served as Chairman of the Bankruptcy Sections of the Milwaukee Bar and the State Bar of Wisconsin, and am Co-Chair of the Bankruptcy Committee of the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association. . I frequently write and speak on bankruptcy topics. I have also successfully mediated commercial disputes.
