Nathan J. Wautier is a shareholder in Reinhart’s Real Estate, Corporate Law, and Banking and Finance practices where he serves the business and legal needs of a broad range of individual, corporate, and institutional clients. Nathan primarily advises real estate developers, business owners, operators, borrowers, and lenders on development projects and related financings. In addition to his real estate and general business practice, Nathan regularly assists both domestic and internationally based institutional investors with their tangible asset, private equity, and hedge fund investments. During his law school career, he worked for a nonprofit organization along the Texas/Mexico border on an extensive land titling project designed to ensure that land was registered correctly and fairly in the names of property fraud victims. Prior to law school, Nathan spent more than two years working as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Momostenango, Guatemala. Representative Matters and Experience Real Estate Practice: Regularly advises both buyers and sellers on the purchase and sale of a range of commercial properties, including drafting and negotiating letters of intent and purchase agreements, as well as the appropriate transfer documents and review of title and survey Represents lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured credit facilities to document construction financing, as well as permanent and mezzanine loans Works with several national corporations on matters related to site purchase, development, financing and retail leases Institutional Investor Practice: Regularly works with clients to analyze the legal aspects of private equity investments, hedge fund investments and other similar alternative investments The Reinhart team represents 11 of the 50 largest pension plans in the world and 27 of the 300 largest pension plans in connection with alternative investments, corporate governance and securities litigation
