National award-winning journalist skilled in video, audio, and print reporting as well as documentary filmmaking. Earned my Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in August 2020. "[Brett] knows how to go at a story, and he sources widely and well. During my tenure at Columbia, I co-produced and directed a 30 minute documentary on a wheelchair fencer and her struggles with a rare genetic disease, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. My career has seen me working live production for KDVR and KWGN's morning newscasts. I was then promoted into Creative Services where I produced, scripted, filmed, directed, and edited news topicals, news promos, billboards, and client commercials. I also helped run social media and digital platforms for the news brand. I then helped launch TEGNA's national TV show, Daily Blast LIVE. First, as a digital editor. Then, as an on-air producer. My on-air reporting and hosting earned a national Telly Award for my work on a "Mission: Impossible Fallout" promotional piece. I've been published multiple times for enterprise reporting on community affairs in New York City's "West Side Rag."
