Principal and Lead Designer at EYP, with significant experience and expertise in Higher Education, Kip's private and public institutional clients include: Swarthmore College, The College of the Holy Cross, Franklin & Marshall College, Connecticut College, Washington & Jefferson College, Stetson University, the University of New Hampshire, Radford University, The Ohio State University, The University of Scranton, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Middle Tennessee State University, Concordia College, Oxford College of Emory University, The College of New Jersey, Washington College, Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University and Pennsylvania State University. An active participant in the National Dialogue to advance the quality of Education and Research in the United States through Design, Kip is a contributor and friend of Project Kaleidoscope (PKAL) and the Learning Spaces Collaboratory (LSC), now in collaboration with the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U). Kip also presents and participates in national symposia, colloquia and meetings of such organizations as the Society of College and University Planning (SCUP), Laboratories for the 21st Century (Labs 21) and Tradeline. A Registered Architect, Kip is LEED Accredited with a specialty in Building Design and Construction, and is unique among today's practitioners because of his familiarity and conversant use of the Classical Tradition, the Romantic or "Gothic" Style, and Contemporary Design Languages, his projects have been the recipient of design honors and accolades from the Boston Society of Architects, AIA New York State and AIA New England. Kip always strives to make the buildings he designs a unique reflection of his Institutional clients’ aspirations, and have a sense of "belonging" to the people and places in which they are located. He has also taught Design Studios at the Boston Architectural College, and has served as Masters Thesis Advisor for Candidates at the BAC.
