Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Inc is a nonprofit organization which located in Manhattan Beach, CA.

I am an innovative leader, trainer, and strategist with 15+ years of experience in non-profit, government, and university environments. Currently I am the Vice President of Community Health/Inclusion at the American Heart Association’s Great Rivers Affiliate. I served as the National Director of African-American and Older Adult Initiatives, for the American Diabetes Association. In this role, I worked closely with 26 states to develop the national strategy, programs and diabetes educational materials, as well as provided training and technical assistance. I also served as the Field Liaison for the Key Market East Division. In concert with the Vice President, I developed short and long term community impact plans, trained staff to ensure consistent execution of programs and developed a system to share best practices for volunteer management standards. In 2002, I served as the Assistant Director for Philadelphia’s Experience Corps, a national multi-million dollar expansion project of the Temple University Center for Intergenerational Learning. In this role, I supervised fourteen staff members who managed more than 800 volunteers in 38 Philadelphia schools. The rapid expansion required me to plan and execute a comprehensive organizational change strategy including revamping staffing structures, hiring processes and professional development mechanisms. I was also responsible for all of the field operations including building and managing relationships with external partners. I developed the volunteer training program introducing and leading cutting edge volunteer training sessions and curriculum, implementing program monitoring and tracking procedures, piloting volunteer outreach and management systems that are still in existence today.
