Johnson Au-Yeung, Orbis’s CIO, has a career-long passion for leveraging technology and analytics to make better business decisions. Prior to Orbis, Mr. Au-Yeung served as CIO of Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), where he was the founding member of the university’s data and analysis team. He led the effort to consolidate all university datainto databases that became the basis for sophisticated enrollment forecasting and student success models, able to predict down to the individual student level and accurately forecast admission conversion rates. He also developed and implemented the business processes within the IT organization that enabled the institution to grow in a scalable, sustainable way, while ensuring that systems were never an inhibitor to business decisions.Prior to SNHU, Mr. Au-Yeung was CIO at Embanet, an integrated service provider to the education industry. There, he created a common data environment that could universally track and manage students across universities for both acquisition and re-enrollment purposes. As the former CIO and CTO of Concentrix and the Sutherland Group as well, he pioneered the use of data and analytics to add value for both B2B and B2C clients in the business services space. Throughout his career, Mr. Au-Yeung has focused on helping organizations achieve better results through process optimization and smart, data-driven strategies and tactics beyond just cost reduction.
