Stuart is Director and Head of Credit for NIBC Credit Management. This team is responsible for originating and managing portfolios of leveraged loans, high yield bonds, and mid-market private debt on behalf of third party investors via a range of vehicles, including bespoke single-investor managed accounts, multi-investor loan funds and its long-running “North Westerly” CLO franchise. As Head of Credit, Stuart is responsible for all investment assessment & selection, portfolio monitoring and debt restructuring activities of the team. Stuart is also co-responsible for the team's new business initiatives, including fund design & structuring, marketing & fund-raising, and documentation (including regulatory aspects). Stuart is registered under the FCA Authorised Persons regime. Before joining NIBC, he worked for Grant Thornton Corporate Finance, advising banks and private equity sponsors, primarily on SME leveraged buyout transactions. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2000 and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He also holds a BSc in Business Economics and Accounting from the University of Southampton.
