At Mozilla, we’re a global community of technologists, thinkers and builders working together to keep the Internet alive and accessible, so people worldwide can be informed contributors and creators of the Web. I founded, built, and ran a multiplayer gaming website that served hundred of thousands of users for over five years. Multiplayer lobbies, card games, real-time tournaments, scalability, UX, performance, community moderation, native and web clients, databases… I could talk for hours about its challenges.I joined Game Closure (a $12M-backed mobile gaming startup) as one of its first full-time employees. I built and scaled server infrastructure to serve millions of users, led teams of engineers, and served on the five-member team leading the 25-person company. At Google, I implemented AdWords’ review extensions frontend. At Mozilla, I owned Firefox OS’s 'Clock' application, built its email client’s POP3 protocol and streaming implementation, and substantially improved the responsiveness of its System UI.I’m interested in building remarkable products. I value user experience, design, and engineering as parts of a larger whole, and I’m most energized when I can use my expertise in these areas to build something not just functional, but exceptional.I’ve worked extensively with web technologies, whose community and momentum allow small teams to create polished products quickly and effectively. Sometimes, other tools better suit the task at hand. So far, I’ve worked with JavaScript, Clojure, Rust, Java/Android, Python, Objective-C, and C++.
