Moderna is pioneering messenger RNA Therapeutics, an entirely new in vivo drug modality that produces human proteins or antibodies inside patient cells, which are in turn active intracellularly or secreted. This breakthrough platform addresses currently undruggable targets and offers a superior alternative to existing drug modalities for a wide range of disease conditions. Moderna has developed a broad intellectual property estate, including more than 250 patent applications with more than 12,000 claims ranging from novel nucleotide chemistries to specific drug compositions. The company plans to develop and commercialize its innovative mRNA drugsinitially for rare diseases and oncologywhile partnering drug candidates in other therapeutic areas in order to rapidly deliver this innovation to patients. I am a Learning Development and Management professional with 12+ years of experience. I’ve always had a natural desire to learn and to inspire others to learn as well. I’m a positive agent for change with the ability to identify options and alternatives when challenges arise. I love rolling up my sleeves and addressing the tougher challenges that can sometimes evade departments and organizations, such as identifying, defining, and implementing operational efficiencies, defining standard operating procedures that align with company strategy, and systems implementations to name a few. I’m a problem solver, project manager, and process analyst by nature – my curiosity combines with the desire to help people get their jobs done well.
