I’m Founder and CTO at Mavenlink, where I lead our Product & Engineering team. We’re building an industry-leading SaaS product that helps businesses of all sizes grow and scale confidently through better management of people, projects, and financials. In helping to build a great team over the last 8 years, I’ve developed a passion for the practices we’ve iterated on within our engineering team, but also within the company. I believe that vision, an appropriately changing plan, transparency, a little intellect, and humility will get you a long way. Within product development, we’re passionate about pair-programming, test-driven development, fast iterations, regular retrospectives, and communication. Prior to Mavenlink, I’ve held roles in engineering, product, professional services, sales, and partner development. Having that broad view has helped me to be a leader and understand the challenges of my peers in their roles. It was also crucial to being a better founder, where I need to help lead the whole business to a successful outcome. I like to ski, bike, be active, spend time with family/friends, enjoy a good wine or beer, laugh, and spot an Oxford comma. I’d be happy to talk about advising roles, of which I have a few.
