I have the amazing opportunity to work for Southern Air and Heat as their EVP / Head of HR. In this role I have the exciting responsibility for starting up the HR function in corporate from scratch, providing talent management support through mergers and acquisitions, and leading the field HR representatives to provide best in class HR service to our employees across the region. Southern Air and Heat is a newly formed company, currently in business for 1 year and already almost 500 employees. We are very excited for the growth we have achieved and for the future to come! Beyond my core role for Southern Air and Heat, I am extremely passionate about giving back to the HR industry through my enjoyment of writing, speaking, and teaching. There are few things in life that excite me more than sharing the love and knowledge I have about the HR/Talent Management field with others willing to listen and learn. I have been fortunate enough to speak at various events, have works of written thought published in various places, and been able to teach the inquiring minds of bachelor and masters level students about various topics in HR. More specifically, I am lead faculty for courses at Rollins College (Crummer Graduate School, Masters in Human Resource/Hamilton Holt) in Leadership Development, Multigenerational Workforce, Training & Development, Managerial Consulting. I also serve as a member of SHRM, Go SHRM (Central Florida affiliate), Rollins College Board of Directors (Alumni), and Athena Powerlink (an organization that provides consulting resources to female medium-size business owners).
