Mary Skafidas is responsible for leading Investor Relations, Corporate Communications and ESG for Loews Corporation. Mary joined Loews in January of 2012 as the head of investor relations. Six months later she was promoted to lead media relations and more recently took on a broader corporate communications role at the company. Mary became an officer of Loews Corporation in January of 2017. Prior to Loews, Mary was vice president of corporate communications and marketing for McGraw-Hill. Previously, she held media and investor relations positions at Toyota Motor North America. Mary has more than 20 years of experience in financial communications, corporate marketing and positioning for public companies as well as employee engagement and communications. On a personal note, Mary is the co-author of Journeys: American Story, a collection of 72 essays by immigrants detailing their family’s arrivals in the United States. In addition to curating the essays, Mary contributed two essays of her own to the book -- one under her name and the other written on behalf of her aunt Helen Polychronopoulos an undocumented immigrant.
