Roy boasts more than 30 years of industry experience, including leadership roles of Livingston’s Canadian and U.S. businesses. In June 2019, Roy was appointed Chief Operating Office. The appointment returned oversight of Livingston’s core business areas – brokerage, international freight forwarding and business-process services – to Roy, who was responsible for growing each service area as President of Livingston Canada. Prior to his role as COO, Roy served as President, North American Brokerage from 2016 to 2019 where he was instrumental in developing the company’s U.S. brokerage presence. Roy was also responsible for Canadian brokerage operations, trade consulting, international freight forwarding, business process services and vehicle transportation services as President, Livingston Canada between 2014-2016. In late 2011, Roy was promoted to lead Livingston’s U.S. businesses as President, U.S.A., based in Chicago. He had tremendous success in this role, growing the U.S. operation, where he was responsible for the U.S. sales group as well as the customs brokerage, trade consulting, global trade management, and international freight forwarding businesses. Promoted to senior vice president, sales and marketing, in 2010, with a deliberate focus on target markets in the United States, Roy was charged with driving the company’s strategic growth initiatives. From 2007 to 2010, he headed up Livingston’s trade consulting, event logistics, managed services, international freight forwarding, vehicle transportation and technology services businesses, as senior vice president, specialized services. As vice president, business integration, from 2006 to late 2007, Roy successfully led Livingston’s integration efforts following the acquisition of a major competitor. Prior to that time, he was vice president and general manager of Livingston Consulting, reorganizing the international trade consulting operation to significantly improve profitability.
